TEAM PURPOSE:

• Ensuring that Oxfam’s influencing around the world including campaigns, advocacy, policy, research, communications, media, digital work is high impact and achieves systemic change with an overall framing on inequality and gender, rights and justice.

• Leading, convening & managing Oxfam’s influencing work across the world. Working with countries, regions and affiliates, consulting, co-creating and setting vision and direction of travel for Oxfam’s worldwide influencing work

• Embedding an integrated people-powered approach in all Oxfam’s influencing work.

• Enabling a strategic approach to working with allies and partners for influencing, ensuring co-creation, organizational humility, and support for partnerships and allyships.

JOB PURPOSE: • Supporting co-creation and delivery of creative public facing approaches to engage audiences around the world on topics related to bodily autonomy, SRHR, and SOGIESC rights. Ensuring that people’s power is central to theories of change where power analysis suggests it should be. Job profile template– 23.09.20

• Working closely with countries, regions, and affiliates to ensure that people’s power is central to the confederation’s work.

• Working primarily in project teams within the priorities set by the confederation.

BUDGET RESPONSIBILITY : No

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Technical, Leadership, People and Resource management)

• Facilitating co-creation, development and delivery of impactful campaigns and campaigning activities under Oxfam’s priority to advance bodily autonomy, including SOGIESC rights influencing priorities that secure tactical and/or strategic objectives, including but not limited to public awareness, behaviour change campaigns, political and private sector influencing campaigns, activist and public engagement campaigns. Resulting in high impact popular campaigns which take an integrated audience-centric approach to engagement.

• Accompanying national and regional public campaigns development and delivery to ensure that campaign strategies and plans are focused on systemic change and are as engaging as possible.

• Supporting priority worldwide campaign projects, working as part of project teams, with specific responsibilities flexibly determined by project team, could include digital campaigning, public fundraising, allies coordination and engagement, or other key roles.

• Contributing to a creative campaigning culture, generating ideas on different issues and themes, as well as for partners and activists.

• Ensuring campaigns work is developed based on the experiences of country programs, allies and partners, and ensuring they are reflective of the lived experiences of people living poverty, and that they are delivered in a non-extractive, decolonized, anti-racist feminist way.

• Building and maintaining relationships with movements, partners and allies, providing support, ensuring Oxfam shows up in a collaborative and humble manner, including external representation.

• Supporting monitoring impact, evaluation and learning to ensure that public facing campaigns and engagement adapt to continue to achieve maximum effectiveness.

• Supporting fundraising efforts at national, regional and global levels.

• Strong technical knowledge of SRHR, SOGIESC rights and bodily autonomy including relevant rights-based and feminist frameworks.

• Excellent understanding of, commitment to and experience of embedding and continuously learning to embed a decolonial, anti-racist, intersectional feminist and partner led approach in your work.

• Experience in campaigning such as public engagement, awareness raising, political or private influencing and working with campaigning movements and partners, preferably on issues on which Oxfam campaigns.

• Understanding of different models and methods of achieving impact and change and the ability to develop plans and strategies to achieve campaigning objectives.

• Excellent communications skills. Desirable Lived experiences with intersecting systems of oppression, with knowledge and experience of how power and privilege play out in the countries we work with
