About The Policy Circle
The Policy Circle is the premier pipeline for women leaders at the state and local level whose
values are grounded in limited government principles and committed to civil discourse. The
women in our community don’t just follow policy conversations; they create real civic impact in
their states and communities.
Policy Circle Briefs are the foundation of our educational platform. They equip women with the
context, multiple perspectives, and practical understanding they need to engage thoughtfully in
civic life. As we scale our impact, we are seeking a curious, collaborative, and highly organized
Senior Policy Manager to lead the development of policy content that informs women,
strengthens our community, and fuels civic engagement.
Role Description
The Policy Circle believes informed citizens make stronger communities. Our Policy Briefs don’t
tell readers what to think – they equip them to think critically by presenting balanced facts,
multiple perspectives, and thoughtful questions.
The Senior Policy Manager leads The Policy Circle’s established Brief development process
from concept through publication. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys researching
complex issues, interviewing subject matter experts, writing and editing policy Briefs, and
translating nuanced policy topics into clear, balanced, and engaging resources for a broad
audience.
Working closely with colleagues across the organization, the Senior Policy Manager owns every
stage of the Brief development process, from research and outlining to AI-assisted drafting,
stakeholder engagement, publication, and ongoing updates. They ensure every Brief reflects
The Policy Circle’s commitment to intellectual honesty, civil discourse, and thoughtful civic
engagement.
Policy Circle Briefs are not advocacy pieces or white papers. They are balanced educational
resources that present multiple perspectives, explore tradeoffs, and equip readers to think
critically and reach their own conclusions. The ideal candidate is an exceptional researcher,
writer, editor, project manager, and collaborator who embraces emerging AI tools to improve
research and workflow efficiency while recognizing that human judgment, curiosity, and editorial
excellence remain essential.
Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role are centered on The Policy Circle’s three strategic pillars, which
